Though I didn’t attend New York Fashion Week this year, I was still able to indulge in all the amazing fashion. From the amazing street styles as noted in many of the photos from Fashion Bloggers and Style Mavens such as Anna Dello Russo, whom can be seen strutting through the concrete jungle in many of her high fashion looks. Due to issues, New York Fashion Week 15 was not sponsored by Mercedes Benz this year and wasn’t located at its normal venue, but that hadn’t stopped any of the designers from showcasing their best looks. My favorite show of them all this year had to be Givenchy’s show which looked as if it were held on a rooftop. With all of the amazing women’s styles this year, the Men also made an impressionable stamp in my eyes. Many of Givenchy’s looks were clean cut and precise with great attention to detail. The suits seemed to have a similar look in the way they were styled as well as the color. The midnight black and heaven white looks contrasted perfectly with the night sky of Manhattan. However, there was one look that completely stole the show, and it was modeled by the gorgeous Joan Smalls. A black structured gown with large fur accents along the sides and bottom was a complete show stopper and probably one of the most talked about looks for the entire show. Other shows that I was fond of as well were Jeremy Scotts’s show, which showcased bright colors and bold prints which he is very much known for, and Tommy Hilfiger’s Caribbean beach styled show, which during the finale the models actually dashed through the venue’s animated beach. Betsy Johnson as well can be seen completing her signature cart-wheels down the runway after she had completed her showcase of designs. Fashion Week! Fashion Week!
